Where math meets art, blending empathy into timeless design.

“Always give 110%.” My father’s words became the foundation for everything I do. Growing up in his mechanic shop, I was fascinated not just by how he fixed things, but how he transformed them, turning something broken into something whole again. That shop became my first classroom, and there I discovered who I wanted to be.

My name is Michelle Behshid, and I’m pursuing a master’s in Engineering Design Innovation at Northwestern University. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts and Mathematics from Bowdoin College. Years on the ice taught me grit and teamwork, the same persistence and creativity that now drive me to bring my designs to life.

What began as a spark in my father’s shop still guides me today. Every problem, I’ve learned, holds the chance to create something that inspires.
